The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum

For your next trip to Milwaukee make sure you bobble right on into a one-of-a-kind experience at The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. Whether you’re a dedicated collector or simply intrigued by the unique charm of bobbleheads, this museum offers a fun and engaging experience for visitors of all ages. Let’s jump in and be surrounded by 10,000-plus bobbleheads as you learn more about these fan-favorite sports giveaways.

Museum Information

Admission prices are reasonable at $5 per person, making it an affordable outing for families and individuals alike. Plus there is free parking available for the building. If that is full there is also free street parking available in the surrounding area. For those of you who would prefer not to drive the museum is located within the downtown and public transportation here is a viable option. For those of you coming from the Chicagoland area, Milwaukee does have an Amtrack Station.

The Bobblehead Experience

The museum boasts an extensive collection of bobbleheads spanning various themes, genres, and historical periods. From sports icons and movie characters to political figures and pop culture icons, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Exhibits are thoughtfully curated, providing insight into the evolution and cultural significance of bobbleheads.

One thing to note is that the Hall of Fame is an open-air museum. Most of the exhibits are just sitting on shelves instead of being locked away and behind glass. This was nice for us, as it was easier to take pictures and be able to appreciate the memorabilia. However, this may not be the most young child-friendly place, as touching the bobbleheads is strictly prohibited.

Something I particularly enjoyed was how well thought out and organized the museum was. The clear signage was especially helpful in finding the exhibits that interested me most!

Highlights

One of my favorite shelves held a collection of the Wizard of Oz Bobbleheads! It was my favorite movie growing up. I also enjoyed spotting the Holiday bobbleheads like Ralphie from “The Christmas Story.”

Although the pop culture section was more my scene, I did enjoy the sports collections. I loved seeing the large selection of local Chicago/Milwaukee teams! It felt like finding gold when I spotted a team like the Ice Hogs or the Kane County Cougars.

Speaking of a treasure hunt, Waldo is hiding somewhere in the museum, and although we tried our hardest, on our visit we ended up not finding him. If you can locate Waldo on your trip or if you have a favorite bobblehead be sure to let me know in the comment below!

Overall we thought it was a great indoor activity for a cold winter Milwaukee day! After our museum trip, we headed on over to Sprecher for a soda pop flight.

  1. I will be adding this lil museum to our list of things to see and do in Wisconsin. It’s nice to have indoor and outdoor options and looks like we can’t go wrong with the affordable admission fee.
