Next time you find yourself in Milwaukee, make sure to pop into Sprechers for a unique flight of soda. Their mind-boggling selection allows you to choose from flavors like maple root beer, grape, dream orange, and many more. As a bonus, they also serve adult beverages. Located on the outskirts of Milwaukee in Glendale Wisconsin, Sprecher is a fun brewery and soda pop shop to add to your Milwaukee day trip. It is truly a unique family-friendly activity.
When we went, we decided to share a soda pop flight of 5. Now, I adore sugar and all things sweet. Which is why I felt surprised when I found myself thinking that their pop was sugary. 5 samples (shared) was plenty if not too much! Sprecher soda pop also tends to be flat, with minimal bubbles. These pops are stored in bottles so it’s usually less noticeable. Yet in the glass, the flatness could visibly be seen.
My favorite sample was their seasonal apple soda. It was different to see Apple in a soda form. As someone who loves ciders, I just had to give it a go. I enjoyed it even if it was very sugary and had no bite to it.
The soda flights are about $2 a pour, making our 5 samples $10. however, they did seem to offer online-only offers, which may give you more of a deal.
The tasting room was a nice place to hang out with games available to play. It was also very kid-friendly. Even though they serve alcoholic beverages, they have an extensive list of soda pops and mocktails for everyone! Sprechers also hosts events from time to time including comedy shows.
Overall Thoughts on Sprecher
Overall we enjoyed this one-of-a-kind experience, however, we felt as if the prices were a bit pricy for a return visit as ‘tourists.’ Perhaps if we lived in the area we would swing by for events, but being that we are located in Chicagoland the one visit was enough for us. Especially since some of their soda pop flavors can be locally purchased at stores in Chicagoland.
